Whew what a last three months.

Hi again.  A lot has happened, so I’ll start this blog with a quick life update. First of all, Amber (my wife), Aubree (my daughter) and I are all healthy and happy. Aubree got her first cold a couple weeks ago and had trouble breathing through her nose, which made for a few miserable nights, but she healed up just fine, and is now learning how to climb onto the couch. Aubree is small for her age (15 months old), but for some reason, while some babies are just now learning to walk, she is climbing up playground steps and going down slides on her own. I better get in shape so I can keep up!

So the last time you heard from me, I was working at a bank as a teller, and we were about to enter into the Holiday Season + Covid-19. I feel like that was years ago. I got fired from the bank.

It really hit me hard. I prided myself on having never been fired, and always getting the first job to which I applied. I felt like the wind just got knocked out of me. I was already struggling to keep our bills paid. We even had to use the Covid excuse to push our mortgage out three months… twice. And now, I was jobless. Not just unemployed, but fired. I didn’t qualify for unemployment this go around.

You are probably curious why I got fired. Well like I said, I was desperate, so I slid some benjamins into my pocket…. Just kidding. I didn’t steal any money from the bank, but it looked like I did.

I don’t know what happened, but our Teller Cash Recycler came up $2000 short. When the management investigated, I came up $2000 short, and somehow passed that shortage on to the machine (which caused me to seem to be in balance). It had to be a miscalculation somewhere, but where, I don’t know. I wasn’t told that I was being investigated for two weeks. Just long enough for me to forget everything about the night it happened, and then they pulled me into an office, and asked me to explain. I didn’t remember anything, and still don’t, other than that night, I balanced, and left before everyone because I had to get to a youth night at church. So two days before Christmas, I was fired. Let’s just say this Christmas was different than all the ones in the past.

Well that was the worst part, but time and again, God keeps showing me he has a plan, and pretty much all the time, I end up better in the long run.

Two close connections I made while working at the bank were Hunter and his soon to be wife, Natalie, who owns Charis Christian Bookstore downtown Mt. Airy (make sure to stop in and say hey to him for me if you are ever downtown!) and Jared, of Altha Technologies.

The day I got fired, after having a breakdown with my Dad (again, getting fired was emotionally tough for me!), I texted Jared, and told him what happened, and went to Charis and told Hunter as well. Hunter was very encouraging to me and told me to keep my head up. Jared told me that it sucked, and then a couple days later offered me a job as a livestream producer, which shocked me.

And that’s where we go into the next chapter of my life, and honestly, the coolest job I’ve ever had. I’m a Liveshow Engineer and Associate Producer! And not just that, but we are a direct combatant against Big Tech censorship online! I’ll explain:

If you are online at all, you should know that the Leftist Government Elites and Big Tech giants like Amazon, Facebook and Twitter are all in cahoots. And, they are actively removing the voices of their opposition. I mean what kind of company do you have to be to remove a SITTING president of the USA from your platform? I dont care if he was about to leave office. That’s just ridiculous. Anyway, the company I now work part time for specializes in helping people who have been removed from these platforms, as well as website hosts, for their political or religious beliefs. In fact, Jared, the owner, was removed from his Internet provider in Maine, just because he was HELPING another organization that was anti-homosexual.

So we host peoples websites locally on our own servers, rather than hosting them on large cloud services such as Amazon that could take it down at any moment because they don’t like us. And more importantly, we create Liveshows. While I would love to give an example, and our clients are publicly broadcasting their shows, I do not want to give an opportunity for targeting by name-dropping here, so if you are interested, please shoot me a message on facebook or instagram. What we do is do a Zoom call (actually it’s Google Meet, but everyone know Zoom better), and then capture the Host’s video feed, put it into Open Broadcasting Software, add titles, content, scriptures, etc, and then stream it live anywhere we can. We DO stream to Youtube and Facebook for as long as we can, until the client gets blocked (which is very common).

If you know me at all, this is right up my alley. I used to stream to Twitch (and plan on it again), and love the concept of producing shows for patriotic American Christians who have their morals straight, and actually have the guts to stand up and shout the truth.

I want to note that I work with Altha Tech part time, and the rest of the time, I work with my Dad at United Processing Company. Thankfully, I have the opportunity to combine these two jobs with Online Credit Card processing. Just to let you know, Square, which you’ve probably seen people use to take credit cards on their phone or at your favorite local coffee shop, has a CEO by the name of Jack Dorsey, who is also the CEO of Twitter, which has taken the lead on this anti-Christian/anti-conservative nonsense. Just keep that in mind next time you swipe that card! (And call me if you use it for your business. I can help you find an alternative!).

So that’s the recap, but here’s what actually changed in me: I realize what’s important now.

Most of my life, I had plans to get a good job, and grow some wealth, and just live my life comfortably, while honoring God in the process.

But my eyes are open a little wider now.

If you have been paying attention to politics and news in early 2021, I hope you have had the perception to realize that Christians are soon going to be marked as terrorists in America. Maybe not the fluffy, prosperity Christians, but real ones who actually believe in the Word of God.

Unless something changes, we are on a dark road. At the time of this writing, the EQUALITY ACT has passed the house, and is pending the senate. This act will mark any Christian school organization as homophobic and will be punished if they teach against homosexuality, deny admittance to a homosexual student, or anything else that is deemed “homophobic”. Apparently, even if a mall cop follows around a homosexual person in the mall for suspicious behavior, the “victim” will be able to press charges. This EQUALITY ACT is not equality at all. Christian schools everywhere will be stripped of any government assistance, as well as accreditation, and will be wide open for lawsuits and charges to be pressed by anyone who just feels like they don’t want the school there. This is real stuff!

What do we do? Well, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord first of all. I am the Protector of my home. I am making plans for the worst, but hoping for the best. As I’ve told my buddies, I am going full “Prepper” mode! As much as I can afford to anyway.

I plan on homesteading, so that if we need to, we can be self sustaining. I am making sure my guns are ready to go. I made a quick little “bug out” bag and put it in my truck. We just don’t know what’s going to happen.

I feel blessed to live in the small town of Mt. Airy. I don’t really wear a mask anywhere, and usually there is no-one trying to force me to. In my personal opinion, it would be discrimination if I was refused service for wearing one, however, I do respect the rights of a business to ask me of it. Instead of making a scene, I will put one on (if they provide it) and then proceed to express my frustrations, or just leave.

I won’t go into any more detail than that, but you see what I mean. I am grateful to be free, for now. I’m grateful to have like-minded friends and family. And I’m grateful for the grace of God in my life.

One last thing: I started a challenge with my friend Chris yesterday, to see who can run the most miles per week. I ran one mile yesterday (I was NOT built for running). I hope that we can keep doing it for a few months, and see where we are this summer. I want to run a 5k. I am going to make it happen. This challenge gives me the accountability and competitive motivation to push myself. Find someone to help motivate you, Make a competition. Loser buys lunch at the end of the month. Grow yourself. Be a Man or Woman of Valor. Be who God made you to be. We are made in his image… I wonder if he was muscular? Probably. Koreans seem to think so (search Buff Jesus on Google Images).

Go get some work done. Stand up. Stand proud. Stand Holy.
